SHOCK, HORROR – I can’t actually argue the PEGI 12 rating for this game. I normally struggle with the PEGI ratings, but realistically PEGI 12 feels about right for the content. So now you ask – Why am I allowing my 8 year old son play Hard Boiled Chicken then? The answer is – I might be wrong in my decision, but I think the content is mild enough that he can mentally handle it.
Its pretty much what you see in The Simpson’s ‘Itchy and Scratchy’ show and some of the Cartoon Network programmes. I know I certainly used to play games with a little bit of blood when I was 8 years old (Not that I’m condoning that and times have changed) and as Cliche as it sounds – I’m a normal law abiding person.
Some parents may strongly feel this games for the over 12’s and wouldn’t argue with them.
Aside from all of the above – this is a really good fun cartoon action game and quite unique in its styling.
