I have mixed thoughts on this film. Firstly Hag and Con both just loved it and once finished, Con wandered over to the DVD player; ejected the disc and took it upstairs so he could watch it again the next morning. Where I struggle is the Dog – Max looks like something out of the Tweenies when he’s meant to be real. That said Kidz may love ‘Monster Mutt for exactly that reason. I first heard about this film while at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The poster Artwork (Used for the DVD) is very good and if bought as a gift, any child would be excited. Not for me – but Kidz will be glued to the screen.
