HUGO (2D/3D Blu-Ray)

Review by Hag

On DVD, Blu-Ray, 3D-Blu-Ray 2/4/12 (PG) 4 Stars

Parent View:
This multi award winning children’s film by Scorsese, is a beautifully crafted piece of film and story telling. How much this movies for Kidz or the Kidz within Mum’s and Dad’s I’m not sure – although there’s no denying its genius.

Hag really enjoyed Hugo but he’s a film fanatic and can sit through quite intense long films like Titanic and Lord of the Rings – Con didn’t get it at all. If your Kidz are film obsessed they will love this movie – if they struggle to sit through live action films, Hugo’s not for them.
I would suggest 10 years old up and even some 10 years might struggle.

3D Blu-Ray Review:
Easily the most beautiful 3D Blu-Ray on the market. From start to finish this disc indulges the audience with state of the art 3D technology – great depth and objects appearing from the screen. There is a little bit of ghosting, but overall the 3D is immaculate and the ghosting doesn’t effect the experience. Stand out 3D moments: The Fish tank in the studio, Hugo’s robot flying through the air towards the end of the movie and any scene with a Clock work back drop.
