Kidtropolis 2017 – Con and Bex talk Pop and performing live with Kidz Bop!!!
When you found out you were going to be in the band what were your first thoughts? Con age 10
Lois – I thought this whole journey is going to be amazing! Singing pop songs, making music videos and performing live are all a dream come true.
Max – I instantly thought this what I want to do for the rest of my life.
Twinkle – I was so excited! I had met everyone at the audition and was really looking forward to being in a group with Lois, Max and Ashton.
Ashton – I couldn’t wait! I was so excited.
How did you make the CD? Bex age 6
Lois – We all head to rehearsals and learn the songs. Then one by one we go into the recording studios and sing the songs.
Twinkle – Once we’ve made the songs we then get to make some awesome music videos.
What’s your favourite song on the album and why? Con age 10
Ashton – My favourite song has to be ‘Ciao Adios’ because it’s full of energy. I can’t wait for everyone to see the video.
Lois – My favourite song is ‘Symphony’. I love the melody and the lyrics.
Max – 100% ‘Symphony’
Twinkle – I like all of them so much ‘Symphony’, ‘Ciao Adios’ ‘Castle on the Hill’ & ‘Stay’. I can’t choose.
How do you remember all the words to the songs? Bex age 6
Max – I just listen to the song over and over again and keep on singing.
Lois – Luckily I have a really good memory, so that helps me a lot!
Ashton – By listening to the songs over and over again and practicing again and again! It sounds hard but anyone can do it!
Twinkle – Practice, practice, practice!
What’s the hardest thing to do when performing live? Con age 10
Ashton – I think the hardest thing to do in a live performance has to be dancing and singing at the same time. But with a bit of practice we get there.
Twinkle – Singing and dancing at the same time!
Lois – The hardest part is when you have a full-on dance routine and you give it 100% and then keep enough breath to sing as well.
Max: Getting all the moves right at the same time as singing live. But when the adrenaline kicks in it all comes together.
What songs would you like to record in the future? Con age 10
Max – ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ by Sam Smith, I love that song
Twinkle – Hmm… ‘New Rules’ Dua Lipa or ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ by Demi Lovato
Ashton – I would love to do an Alicia keys based album since I love all her songs and all the cool instruments she uses.
Lois – I would also love to do ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ By Demi Lovato.
