Hag chats with the cast of Disney Channels The Evermoor Chronicles

When you were a kid – what was the scariest bed time story you heard? (Hag age 11)

Georgia Lock – Well I am a massive scaredy cat, and I hate scary stories. So I asked my dad, picked out a really lovely bed time story that my dad was reading me I remember it so well. I was six. I’d chosen this story I was like dad you need to read me this one because it’s not scary. So he read it to me and then for some reason he just thought up the end to be funny, he’d change it so that like the bear ate all the ducklings. Like it was right at the end I was like dad, I was so furious because I’d taken so long finding a non-scary story and then he had to go and do that. I didn’t speak to him for the next day.

Finney Cassidy – I couldn’t imagine Rob doing something like that.

Georgia Lock – No he did.

Finney Cassidy – The scariest bed time story for me was no bed time story.

Georgia Lock – What?

Finney Cassidy –Saddest moment ever when my dad didn’t read me…I’m joking. No bed time story, its sad isn’t it. The scariest bed time story, actual story would be, I don’t know whether it’s called going on a bear hunt.

Georgia Lock – We’re going on a bear hunt, we’re going to catch a big one.

Finney Cassidy – Is that a book? Yeah. It was a book and I found it really scary and I had a lot of nightmares every time I read it. I can’t necessarily think of it but that was the most scariest book as a child. I’ve not read it recently but I can’t think of the name though.

George Sear – That’s a good question. Go on then.

Sammy Moore – Right I remember hearing one, a friend told me this actually. I don’t know if it counts as a bed time story but I suppose it is, and it was about a clown. I won’t give all the gory details but it was about a clown who was waving and he was waving four fingers, and this girl didn’t know, she got given this clown as a gift, have you heard this one?

Sammy Moore – So basically, she put the clown in her room and didn’t really know what it was and then a lot goes on and eventually there’s an incident where someone’s murdered. The clown starts waving again but with five fingers.

George Sear – Horrible.

Sammy Moore – I know how scary. I just remember it was like one of those moments when you hear the end of a ghost story and you’re like well that was horrible. So that was the scariest one I’ve come across.

George Sear – The scariest one I can remember is, in fact I can’t even remember if it was scary it was just such a good bed time story. It was like a spooky feel to it. It was about these monkey looking fellas, and they had a tree house and then they go and it’s like in the dark house, and in the dark, dark room, have you heard of it? Then it’s like in the dark, dark closet there’s a dark, dark chest and I remember listening to it, it was amazing then it gets to some spooky skeleton in the end or something. I remember loving that story.

Sammy Moore – Yeah I remember that one.

George Sear – I think they were monkeys. I think the characters were all monkeys. That’s why they were in the trees.

Sammy Moore – Makes it cute.

George Sear – Yeah in the trees, tree house.

Jordan Loughran – I think the scariest bed time story I heard was any story to do with the big bad wolf because I think that was a pretty scary character before bed time.

What’s the most embarrassing thing you had to do in the new Evermoor series? (Hag age 11)

Georgia Lock – There was a scene where Bella is under a kind of spell, and it resulted in me having to do a particularly unappealing unattractive dance. That, I’m so bad at dancing anyway and I get really nervous when I have to dance in front of people. I had to dance on this stage doing the most awkward dance ever and everyone was staring, watching and it was pretty terrible. That was very embarrassing.

Finney Cassidy – My most embarrassing moment. I mean, there were times where, I don’t find it embarrassing but there was a scene where I was sitting at a table and again I was under a spell of some sort, and I wasn’t necessarily feeling myself and I was feeling slightly peckish for some inedible table dressings on the table, which I took a few bites out of.

Georgia Lock – Did you actually eat the rose?

Finney Cassidy – No. I wouldn’t find it embarrassing but it’s an embarrassing thing like embarrassing concept. I mean like eating table decorations.

Georgia Lock – There’s a scene where Finney and I, we are romantically involved in the series. There was a scene where we had to kiss which wasn’t embarrassing but it was because it’s us and we don’t get embarrassed much. It was just funny because we had to do this kiss from like five different angles and then like so many…

Finney Cassidy – The whole bit for about five minutes.

One day of shooting then.

Georgia Lock – Basically. We kissed about 50 times.

Finney Cassidy – Yeah because there’s a shot of somebody else in the background which they needed to pan over our heads.

Georgia Lock – To pull focus to him in the background so we had to do the whole bit. It was a bit funny.

Finney Cassidy – Yeah. I mean we weren’t embarrassed but you would call that embarrassing. It was like just hold it for another two minutes. Three minutes like come on now, literally.

Georgia Lock – Come on now.

Finney Cassidy – You can have conversations for the whole of the kiss.

George Sear – Something jumped straight to mind. In one of the beginning episodes there’s a bit when Seb is kind of taken over by something or some sort of force which I won’t give away. I had to kind of do this dance as if it wasn’t coming from me and it was just the most embarrassing dance. Usually I’m okay with that kind of stuff but this thing I don’t know, it just kind of did made me feel quite embarrassed but obviously I did it, and I tried to do it the best I could but I do remember feeling a bit like this is, you know, this is a bit embarrassing.

Sammy Moore – I don’t tend to get embarrassed easily and I actually think I got quite lucky with Otto because he’s always dressed immaculately, he always looks really dapper yeah, on point. So within that character he always decides to stay away from things that might make him feel embarrassed or something. So luckily I didn’t actually have to do anything that I felt embarrassed but even if I did I probably would of loved it. I don’t know I just don’t get embarrassed easily.

Sammy Moore – I fell down at one point. I didn’t really fall I slipped.

George Sear – You saved yourself.

Sammy Moore – I saved myself. There was a point where me and Tara played by Naomi, we see something happen and we realise something, and I’m supposed to run on the spot and share that moment with her and instead I ran on the spot and slipped. So I just walked back to my original position head bowed like, just disappointed with myself.

Sammy Moore – Not embarrassed I was alright.

Jordan Loughran – You know what, I think I was actually pretty lucky in that I didn’t have to do anything embarrassing but I remember I had a couple of scenes with Clive who plays my dad, and Margaret who plays Ludo’s mum Crimson, and they are really, really good funny actors. So whenever you did a scene with them you had to make sure that you had a straight face even though all you wanted to do was laugh.

Who in the cast would you say is the biggest scaredy cat? (Hag age 11)

Finney Cassidy – I’d say Georgia.

Georgia Lock – I get scared really easily, like scary films.

Finney Cassidy – Yeah you do, you don’t like scary films.

Georgia Lock – I’m terrified.

Finney Cassidy – And you don’t like hot food. I was about to say, yeah you hate and that’s your hot food thing.

Georgia Lock – Yeah I hate spicy food. I hate scary films. I get scared so easily.

Finney Cassidy – Yeah. We watched that trailer of a scary film and you wouldn’t watch it.

Georgia Lock – I wouldn’t no. I wouldn’t be able to sleep for a week. Honestly. I was terrified of Scooby Doo until I was 11. Genuine. So scared.

Shall we go with that then?

Georgia Lock – I would agree yes.

Finney Cassidy – Georgia yeah. 100%.

Sammy Moore – Aside from George.

George Sear – I think Jordan who plays Sorsha she’s so easy to scare.

Sammy Moore – Honestly you just open the door, like someone would knock on her door and she’d open it and see you and get scared.

George Sear – There’s a couple of times when I just knocked on the door and she opened it…

Sammy Moore – It scares her. One time, well she doesn’t know what she’s expecting to find. One time, actually it happened two times, I was coming down the lift in the hotel where we stay at after the shoot, and yeah it came to a floor obviously and the doors opened, and because I was standing in the elevator she got spooked, she jumped. That’s happened twice. That is a trait of hers.

George Sear – Yeah definitely Jordan.

Sammy Moore – These are good questions.

Jordan Loughran – Let’s see. I think given the fact that I got scared a couple of times by people jumping out at me, maybe me but I know that there was a scare war or scare off between Sammy and Georgie so I heard them scream a few times on set as well. So it’s not just me.

In the first series it was a thread that could tell the future. If you could pick any object to tell the future what would it be and why? (Hag age 11)

Georgia Lock – I like the idea of a good old fashioned crystal ball. That was a little bit exciting.

Finney Cassidy –I maybe think I agree with yours.

Georgia Lock – Maybe a paintbrush that would be cool. You could paint the room. Painting the future.

Finney Cassidy – Slightly easier isn’t it, using technique.

Georgia Lock – Rather than sewing.

Finney Cassidy –I’d pick maybe a small creature of teddy bear which could speak to me like your future, like a genie but just like a small animal.

Georgia Lock – Like a small little fluffy thing.

Finney Cassidy –I’d call it Roger. Like Roger what’s my future or something. Your future with Tara is going to be.

Georgia Lock – I like that. Can I borrow Roger?

Finney Cassidy –Of course you can. That’s what I’d pick.

Sammy Moore – That is a good one. I reckon something, it needs to be something I have on me at all times. It’s quite convenient to have. So…

George Sear – Keys.

Sammy Moore – That would be interesting. I was going to say phone but I don’t want to have to be involved with my phone. That’s boring. So keys is a good one, because then imagine like you had to put you’re key into the ground and twist it and suddenly this portal of looking into the future was created. That’s cool. I like that.

George Sear – Maybe in your wallet you carry around like a debit card but it’s actually a future debit card.

Sammy Moore – Yeah if you read out the number or something you can only use it a certain amount of times to spend the balance to get your future insight.

George Sear – Yeah such a good idea.

Jordan Loughran – I think if I could pick any object to tell the future I’d have to go with the classic magic mirror. One because you can put it in your pocket or put it in a bag, so you could always have it at the ready and two because I think it would almost be like a TV screen. So hopefully, you should be able to get a clear picture of the future because I know most of the time when you try and see the future, you know, it’s very unclear and there’s always an element of misunderstanding it. So I think a mirror would be my best shot of seeing the future.

The Evermoor Chronicles premieres at 5.30pm on 9th November on Disney Channel.
