The Jacksons – Unity Tour 2013 (London, Hammersmith Apollo)

The Jacksons – Unity Tour 2013 Review by Hag

London, Hammersmith Apollo (3/3/13) “Top End” 5 Stars

Parent View:
Easily one of the greatest and most ground breaking families of entertainment are back on the road playing the classic Jackson 5 and Jacksons songs of the 70’s and 80’s. We really didn’t know what to expect form this concert – who the audience would be? What songs would they play? Could they still pull it off without the most famous front man of all time?

The answers: A real mix of people from all ages and backgrounds, I’d really struggle to describe ‘A Jackson fan’ as it seems to be everyone. As for the songs – all the classics from ‘I Want you back’ to ‘Blame it on the Booogie’, plus a heavy tribute to their late great brother with songs such as ‘Wanna be Starting something’ and ‘Rock with you’.

So can they still pull it off – absolutely, easily one of the most fun concerts I’ve been too and Hag just loved the celebration of songs he never thought he’d hear from the famous family he loves. Talk to me ‘One Direction’ if they’re still attracting the family audience after playing in 6 different decades. Long live The Jacksons!!
