Hag & Con talk to Paddington, Gumball and Harry Hill writer James Lamont

How do you write a movie or TV show and turn it into a movie and TV show? Con age 7

You have to have an idea and then sit down and write it. It’s never to early to start doing that. If you have an idea for a film or a cartoon, then sit down and start writing NOW! If you don’t have an idea then watch other TV shows and films, and think about what you don’t like about them, then have an idea for one that is better.

What was the hardest thing about writing the Harry Hill Movie and what was it like working with
Harry?
Hag age 10

Harry has been a comedy hero of mine since I was young, so it was a privilege to work with him, he was very funny and very smart. The hardest thing was being as funny as him!

Apart from you what other things connect Harry Hill, Gumball and Paddington and why? Con age 7

They are all very funny, and they are all personal heroes of mine.

If you could pick three similarities between you and Paddington – what would they be and why? Hag age 10

We are both very hairy.
We both love the jungle.
and we both growl when we are hungry.
(Basically I’m a bear too!)

Why do you write silly things? Con age 7

Because I only write things that have actually happened to me in real life. Which means I have had a very silly life.

If you had a mutant fish that became you step brother what would you call him and why? Hag age 10

I would call him Robofish-Xatron-megablast-Lamont. because its a super cool name and Lamont is my surname so he would be legally obliged to take that name if he was my brother. It’s just the law.

Paddington is in Cinemas November 28th, The Harry Hill Movie and The Amazing World of Gumball Out now on DVD and Blu-Ray!!!
