Disney First Class Chefs Georgia Lock and Finney Cassidy talk to Hag & Con

Disney First Class Chefs Georgia Lock and Finney Cassidy talk to Hag & Con

Have you ever been trained to cook? Con age 8

Finney Cassidy – I’d say off my Mum in a way. She hasn’t necessarily trained me – I’ve just watched her cook in the kitchen and that’s basically how I learnt to do….all the stuff I can cook is off my Mum.

I did do a GCSE in food technology. I wouldn’t call that training necessarily (Laughs). I did a salad possibly, I learnt how to do that (Laughs). So it’s more from my Mum the cooking and cooking healthy food. And I kind of followed in her footsteps – although I’m not as good as her though. But I have a go.

Georgia Lock – I’ve never been trained. I’m a very bad chef. (Laughs)

Who’s the better cook out of the two of you? Hag age 10

Finney Cassidy – we kind of play on the line that Georgia’s not a very good cook throughout the show don’t we?

Georgia Lock – We do, we do. I’m terrible. I mean I love to cook – but I’m very very bad.

Finney made me some delicious scones the other day.

Finney Cassidy – They we’re banana and coconut. Although I didn’t think they were up to scratch. They we’re a bit plain. (Laughs)

Have you ever been cooked something by a fa mouse person? What was it? And who were they? Con age 8

Finney Cassidy – (Laughs) Can you think of anyone Georgia?

Georgia Lock – I don’t think I have. Of course Finney Cassidy’s scone. (Laughs)

Georgia Lock – Oh, I did eat a salad that Michelin Roux made. (Co-Presenter and famous Chef).

Finney Cassidy – Yes we did try that and Jules (Director) tried the chocolate mouse.

What was the worst meal you’ve ever eaten? Hag age 10

Georgia Lock – My Mum once….I used to live in Australia for a bit. The cartons of orange juice and milk look quite similar. So she decided that one day…..for breakfast she cooked scrambled eggs. But using orange juice instead of milk. (Laughs) It was disgusting!!!

Finney Cassidy – I’ve had a few experiences. But personally….I was reading this running magazine and it was about running. And they had this recipe for a healthy brownie. I can’t even think what the beans were – they’re not black beans but a small bean. It’s not the black bean. It was healthy – so I made it. It looked grata and it smelt really good – it looked like a brownie. Anyway I gave it to my family and they were like what’s in this – it’s like eating a bean burger.

Georgia Lock – I’m not sure a brownie can ever be healthy and taste good.

Finney Cassidy – except you can make really good chocolate mouse with avocado and coco powder.

What does the Kidz (in the show) food actually taste like? Hag age 10

Georgia Lock – you know, no word of a lie – I’m not just saying this because of the show. The good was amazing. All of the food that they cooked from every team was delicious. On the days when there wasn’t enough for us to try some – we got quite upset. It’s soooo good!

Finney Cassidy – it didn’t just taste good, it looked….you know the way it was presented it looked like it was from a professional chef. And the good was really really good!

Maya with the cast of Evermoor!!!

What was easier to make – Evermoor or First Class Chefs and why? Con age 8

Finney Cassidy – Oooh. With First Class Chefs we do an episode a day. So I guess they are longer days. But the thing is presenting and acting is so completely different.

Georgia Lock – It is completely different. In terms of….I wouldn’t say easy. Not when you compare them. With First Class Chefs, because you have to cook the food in a much more chronological order. But with Evermoore you’re doing scenes all over the place. Very different experience.

Which show has got the best canteen for the stars – Evermoor or First Class Chef? Hag age 10

Finney Cassidy – Evermoor!

Georgia Lock – Yeah Evermoor!

Finney Cassidy – I think Evermoors just won because we we’re constantly filming in the studio and also on location. We found these people that we’re really really good and they always did all the way through the shooting.

Whereas with First Class Chef it changed.

Georgia Lock – They had different people each day really.

Finney Cassidy – The standards changed (Laughs).

The fish on Evermoor was so good.

The food by the Kidz on First Class Chef was better.

Georgia Lock – We didn’t eat the canteen food so we could eat the Kidz food. (Laughs)
