Chris Rose talks through the new LEGO Worlds game!!!
Why didn’t you make this game sooner? Hag age 12
We were waiting for technology to catch up with us. The game is what we call quite processor heavy – so when it draws in all of the bricks as part of the world it needs quite a lot of very powerful processing power to do that. We’ve wanted to do it for a long time. If you ever get a chance to play LEGO Indiana Jones 2, you can see the first ever iteration of LEGO Worlds buried in there – as what we call the Level answer.
It was a good start – but we had to wait for technology just to get a little more powerful so we could do LEGO Worlds.
Can you go to Legoland in the game? Bex age 5
You can make LEGOland in the game if you want to. That’s an interesting question that one – I’d have to ask explore if we could import LEGOLand somehow.
Can you ride any of the creatures you create in the game? Con age 9
You can ride a lot of the creatures in the game. You’ve got Dragons, Badgers, Bears and we’ve got Trolls – there’s all kinds of crazy things you can ride on the back of. Lots and lots of very good creatures you can ride. Lions as well!!
If you owned a LEGO car – what coulee would it be? Bex age 5
Mine would be orange with a black stripe running through the middle of it.
Are you able to create working video games in the game? Con age 9
We don’t have processing within the game – so no we don’t have anything quite like that yet.
If you make a LEGO house in the game can you make a family? Bex age 5
You can yes. You can make characters – if you use the characters you have unlocked you can make randomised characters. Then you can save them as a customised character and drop them into the world.
What one thing are you looking forward to when the game is released? Hag age 12
I am looking forward to seeing what the craziest thing that get’s built is. We’ve already had quite a lot of impressive stuff made by a lot of our players already – but I am looking forward to what the next crazy thing that comes out is.
