Parent View:
Much like the first movie and other films of the same style such as Maze Runner and Hungers Games – these are the top end of a 12A Theatrical Teen/Tween flick. Not an Avengers style 12A. Insurgent is quite gritty at times with some dramatic moments – but we were happy for Hag (age 10) to watch the film as we feel he is mature enough for the content. A must see for fans of the first film!!!!
3D Blu-Ray Review:
Insurgent has a good use of 3D – all be it quite subtitle throughout the movie and mainly using 3D FX for key action sequences and vast landscape shots.
Stand out 3D moments – Destroyed city landscape, Attack sequence above the city at night, Beatrice Divergent tasks and Beatrice v (No Spoilers) finale fight.
