The first thing that excited me and kIdz about this game was the incredible packaging. Aside from the game – any child would love to receive this as a gift and contents is very exciting on opening. Inside the box is the game, ‘Pokemon’/’Yu-Gi-oh!’ style game cards and a 3DS stand. Neither of the boys use the stand – but its a nice thing to own and looks cool when opening the packaging. The game itself is a cross between the classic retro coin-op ‘Space Harrior’ and the new ‘Zelda’ titles.
‘Kid Icarus: Uprising’ carries a Pegi 12 rating meaning its deemed suitable for Kidz over 12 years old. Personally I was happy for both Hag (7) and Con (4) to play the game. The contents very mild fantasy violence with mythological monsters – very similar to what they watch regularly on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. I think the Pegi 12’s a little over cautious. Great fun with plenty of repeat play by Kidz.
