There’s a possibility I might be being a little too open minded on what I let my 8 year old watch with this DVD – but Hag just loves it and I’ve weakened a little to the idea of letting him continue to watch it.
I’m actually happy for Hag to view the content (Not Con though) and its a brilliant Anime action show based around youngsters becoming pirates. My concerns come with some of the language and how often certain words are used all be it mild bad language. Hag’s very mature for his age and grown up with the Anime movement so he’s aware that sometimes whats seen as OK for Japanese Kidz may be frowned upon in the UK. Also – he’s been told if we ever hear him use any of the words in the show he’s banned from watching it.
The shame is – I don’t know why these words are in One Piece. Its such a great show they’re not necessary. Highly recommended – but you may want to watch it before you show it your Kidz.
