As a parent that’s followed MJ since a child – its such a joy to see the magic of the man still translate to today’s generation of youngsters. The ‘BAD’ album appears to be the Kidz favourite of all his classic albums within my circle of friends, as tracks such as ‘Smooth Criminal’, ‘Speed Demon’ and ‘BAD’ always have regular play at Kidz parties.
The second album of unreleased ‘BAD’ tracks is also a hit with both Hag and Con – songs getting the most play being ‘Streetwalker’ plus the ‘Speed Demon’ and ‘BAD’ Remixes. The alternate French and Spanish versions ‘I just can’t stop loving you’ always get skipped.
I have a good feeling I’ll be talking to my Grand Kidz about ‘BAD’ – I’m guessing I’ll look like the Old man next door when I was a kid, when he told me back in 1987 he’d seen Fred Astaire live. I was lucky enough to be at the first night of the ‘BAD’ concert (Wembley 14/7/88) and went on to see him 3 times after that. The King of Pop still reigns supreme!!!

This is an incredibly detailed look at ‘The King of Pop’ during the making of the album , Moonwalker and the legendary record breaking ‘BAD’ tour.
Both Hag and ‘even’ Con sat throughout the entire documentary and enjoyed it thoroughly. Hag quite enjoys a documentary – but Con at 5 years old normally struggles to sit down for more than 10 minutes.
Be aware there are 3 uses of the ‘F’ word during the sections about ‘Dirty Diana’ and ‘The Way you make me feel’. It seemed to go over my boys heads as they were so engrossed in the Jackson footage. (When the DVD arrives I’ll give exact timing of the ‘BAD’ language so parents can skip those section)
