Wii U: Sing Party

Review by Hag and Con

Out now on Nintendo Wii U (PEGI 3) Hag 5 Stars/ Con 60-100 out of 5

Parent View:
This is a really ambitious game from Nintendo and ‘kind of’ hard to fully review without throwing a family party (Look out for a future review of this game for New Years Eve party 2014).

On an average day – both Hag and Con will play ‘Sing Party’ as they play any other Singing video game. Where ‘Sing Party’ differs to other games is all the other activities available if you have a crowd of people in your lounge.

Much like a ‘Kareoke bar’ – the key singer can look towards the ‘Audience’ while reading lyrics from the Wii U Hand set. As for the ‘audience’ – they can sing along to the lyrics on the screen behind the principle singer – while copying dance moves and playing instruments on the classic Wii controller.

Also – just to add to the madness, the hand set gives the singer instructions to shout out to get the audience in the mood. Overall this is a cracking way of bringing the true karaoke experience from the bar to the lounge and there’s a great mix of songs for the very young to Mum’s and Dad’s.

As a One player – its like a singing version of those games at the fair where you guide a metal hook around a winding metal course without the hook touching to create a buzzing noice. Nice touch!

Highly Recommended!!!
